In alternating years, we sponsor a Women’s Choral Workshop. This is a highly sought after event, bringing women choral singers from across the entire state of New Jersey.  This biennial event is an opportunity for singers to learn more about their art. It is always a great chance to meet other singers, be exposed to new repertoire and learn new and enhance existing vocal techniques and disciplines. 

Past workshops have been able to attract such prominent clinicians as:

• Heather J. Buchanan, Director of Choral Activities and Assistant Professor of Music at Montclair State University's John J. Cali School of Music

• Deborah Simpkin King, Artistic Director of Schola Cantorum on Hudson

• Noel Werner, Director of Music at Nassau Presbyterian in Princeton, NJ

• John Bunnell, an exceptional voice teacher and choral director

• Donald Morris, Music Director of The Newark Boys School Chorus

• Dr. Anne Matlack, Harmonium Choral Society, Madison

• Sharon Morrison, an outstanding mezzo-soprano soloist with the Antioch Vocal Ensemble, a professional a cappella group 

Our 2011 workshop is scheduled for January 8, 2011 (snow date January 22) - at Calvary Church, 31 Woodland Ave, Summit. Our clinician for this workshop will be Lynnel Joy Jenkins, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Princeton Girlchoir, as well as the choral teacher at the Timberlane Middle School of the Hopewell Valley Regional School District in Pennington, NJ.
